About

Barb Leonard and her husband Dave are Founders and Directors of The Gospel to the Americas (GTTA), a mission organization dedicated to Evangelism, Teaching, Discipleship, and Counseling.

Dave and Barb began their ministry on the streets of Boulder, Colorado in the 1970s. They ministered to drug addicts, alcoholics and the hippies of that era. They brought young men and women into their home, teaching them the Bible and leading many to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

After ministering on the streets of Boulder, they became missionaries to first, Honduras, then Costa Rica, and later Mexico. Since 2002, they have been working in the Dallas, Texas area. Throughout their years of ministry, their teams have presented the Gospel to over 1,000,000 people and over 300,000 public decisions for Christ have been recorded.

Barb assumed leadership of the ministry in the late 1990s when Dave’s health began failing. In addition to her role as Missionary and Director of GTTA, she is a Speaker, Teacher, Writer and Bible Counselor. Her passion is leading the lost to Christ, teaching the Word of God, and helping Christians to grow in Christ.

Barb and Dave have three children, seven grandchildren and soon to be six great-grandchildren. They live in the Dallas, Texas area where their ministry is based.
